Design for the construction of rigid pavement along Agaie-Katcha-Baro road - Nigeria
The road has a total length of about 52.3 km. The project
provides the rehabilitation of the first section of the existing road that is
approximately 29.7
kilometers long. The second section of the existing road
is a sand track 3.0 to 4.0 m
wide and needs to be completely reconstructed.
Upon completion of construction works, the
road will consist of a 12.80
m wide carriageway with two shoulders 2.75 m wide.
Two different pavement structures will be constructed in the various sections, a flexible one and a continuously reinforced concrete pavement (rigid).
The design of
3 reinforced concrete bridges,
29 box culverts and 33 pipe culverts is included in the project.
